One of my favorite Season 3 episodes of Kitchening with Francesca has to be “Risotto Heaven”.  In this episode, Francesca makes an amazing dish, Roasted Butternut Squash and Apple Risotto. 

I love this episode because we all get to see Francesca’s culinary imagination.  I mean, the pairing of the butternut squash and apple in risotto is brilliant to me.  While watching this episode, I can actually imagine the flavors of the dish.  I mean, it makes me want to get on an airplane and fly across the country to sit at her table and eat this meal!!!

I also love this episode because we get to meet Francesca’s children, who returned from a fishing trip right around the end of the video.  It is great to see her children react to her meal. 

There’s also a funny part of this video — that Francesca urged us to keep in the video, as she has a great sense of humor.  It’s the part of the video when she is slicing the apple for the risotto — Classic!!!!
